In some cases we might ask you to provide a Problem Report. This report gives us the necessary information to investigate the problem you are having on the GTS Pro platform, and it includes:
In order to generate a problem report, go to the login window > click on Change Connection Settings > General > Create problem report.
Press Save > Save it on your Desktop. Then, send an email to [email protected] and submit your query including the files.
Before generating the report, please make sure that there is a tick in Enable detailed system logging. It will always be ticked on unless you have ticked it off yourself. If it’s not there, please re-tick the box, then click Apply, log out from the platform, log in again and work with it for some time, until the problem occurs again. And only then generate the problem report.

GTS communicates with a set of remote servers in order to function properly.
Please find below the list of addresses and ports which may need to be added to your firewall/proxy setup to allow for outgoing communications on ports 1001, 443 and 80.
46.19.248.152:443 | Authentication Server (SIM) (sim.logonvalidation.net) |
46.19.248.153:443 | Authentication Server (LIVE) (live.logonvalidation.net) |
mitssimul.iitech.dk:1001/443 | Trade Server (SIM) |
mitslive.iitech.dk:1001/443 | Trade Server (LIVE) |
mitsweb.iitech.dk:443 | Updates/Web reports |
As a minimum requirement, in order to fully utilize the trading application, port 443 and port 80 need to be open for HTTPS and HTTP traffic respectively, to the servers listed above.
We also recommend that you clear the cache of your proxy to ensure that it is using the latest details.
Most users will not need to make any changes to their Network Environment for GTS to run optimally – typically, users behind a corporate firewall could be required to make changes in their network environment.
The Failed to load the login page error message indicates that you are unable to reach the login page of GTS.
Try the following troubleshooting steps:
Live: live.logonvalidation.net
Simulation: sim.logonvalidation.net
Right-click on the network icon in the Windows task bar, and choose “Troubleshoot problems” and follow the steps.
We are pleased to announce the release of real-time netting of positions in the positions list from May.
Real-time netting simplifies position management by dedicating your Positions list to open positions, moving closed and partially closed positions to a new Closed positions module until they are processed at the end of the day.
Real-time netting uses first in, first out (FIFO) netting where trades are closed in the order they were opened.
With real-time netting, you manage your net positions instead of individual trades. Individual trades can be seen in the new trades dialog.
With real-time netting enabled, margin P/L is split into its open and closed components.
Take profit and stop loss orders cannot be attached to individual trades. Independent take profit and stop loss orders can be placed instead and managed separately — if you close a position, you must also manually cancel any orders relating to the position.
Enable real-time netting on your account in the settings in all platforms. The feature can be enabled/disabled at any time.
Real-time netting is supported by all instruments – margin and cash-traded.
Real-time netting works in all platforms – GTS and GTS Pro.
During the month of May, a number of updates will be coming to the GTS mobile platform. The updates will include:
Redesigned watchlist, orders and position pages
These pages have been redesigned in order to provide a simpler, cleaner layout, highlighting key data while providing quick access to more detailed information through the use of card navigation
Card navigation
The introduction of cards that display contextually relevant data and actions, will make navigation even easier for the user
Updated trade and order tickets
This design upgrade introduces a new, condensed ticket layout with more touch friendly navigation elements. This ticket upgrade will also be introduced on GTS for desktop and tablet in the near future
Due to the heightened risk associated with options on rated 5 stocks and ETP (ETF, ETC and ETN) options that may themselves be leveraged, we have decided to discontinue support for selling rated 5 options on stocks and ETPs. The change will take effect on Tuesday, 15 May 2018. Clients with existing short positions will not be affected but will be unable to open new short positions.
The Trade Server could not be reached

Positive momentum in equity markets continued into the new year but gave way to volatility in February as investors showed increasing concern about inflation. The pound strengthened modestly against the dollar and euro which depressed sterling-denominated returns.
Central banks remain on a tightening path on the grounds of controlling inflation and maintaining financial stability. The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates once and at least two more hikes are expected this year. The Bank of England is likely to follow to a lesser extent and even the European and Japanese central banks have guided to a more restrictive monetary policy, signaling a slowdown in Quantitative easing, if not outright rate increases at this stage.
Weakness was widespread across global equity markets.
In the US, the broad S&P 500 index declined by 4.4% in sterling terms while the tech-heavy NASDAQ index fell around 7% from its peak in early March.
Emerging Markets fared better with the MSCI index declining by 2.2% but our Core exposure weighted to India (a potential loser from trade tariffs) and infrastructure (susceptible to higher rates) failed to capture the more resilient sectors.
Fixed interest markets were generally weaker but strong demand from pension funds generated some recovery towards the end of the quarter.
Following the imposition of tariffs by the US on certain trading partners, fears arose about the potential for escalation into a broader trade war.
In the US, the technology sector, which up to now had been leading the market higher, was pressured following concerns over Facebook’s privacy issues. As a result, the high level of Valuations across the sector has been questioned.
There were several other developments for investors to digest. The Italian election demonstrated that populism in Europe remains strong as the mainstream Democratic party suffered a resounding defeat.
The FTSE 100 made a total return of -7.2% over the quarter. Our Core UK exposure is dominated by exposure to mid-caps and the property sector which held up better, supported by bid activity as companies responded to the value opportunities emerging.
The recent volatility highlights the importance of maintaining a well-diversified spread of assets. Some sectors that were previously trading at a premium to net-asset-value or fair-value, such as infrastructure and asset-backed income, have now seen those premiums eroded and this is likely to throw up attractive opportunities to deploy the cash recently realized over the coming weeks.
